When your ignition barrel or some door lock cylinders are broken, you want to replace all of them to ensure that you only use one key. Which lock cylinders do you usually need to replace?
Based on my experience, the Transit MK4 MK5 side doors had some differences between LHD (left-hand drive) and RHD (right-hand drive) from 1992 to 2000, but in later models, they are common. I will explain this in the context of our products. You can also refer to the following link to see the OE number and more detailed information.

First of all, where is the leading market for Ford Transit?
Ford Transit has been the best-selling light commercial vehicle for forty years in Europe. After entering North America in 2013, QUICKLY became the best-selling van in the United States.
And in China, Transit has been growing at more than 30% per year for ten consecutive years and has quickly become the leading brand in the Chinese mid-to-high-end light bus market.
What are the lock cylinders on the Ford Transit from 1992 to 2000 MK4 MK5?
The picture above shows all the locks, including the front door locks (black and white), side door lock (pink), rear door locks (green or brown), ignition locks with the key, and fuel cap lock.
The pink side door lock only fits LHD Ford Transit, so it is unavailable for RHD countries like the UK. Unfortunately, we don’t make side door locks for RHD, so we can’t show pictures of them. Why are there two different rear door locks?
Transit rear doors are usually installed in two ways: Rear barn door and tailgate. The green lock fits the rear barn door, and the brown fits the tailgate.
And how many door lock cylinders for Ford Transit MK6 MK7 from 2006 to 2013?
Regarding these generations of Ford Transit, we make fronts, rear, sliding locks, ignition barrel, and bonnet lock.
According to both pictures, you will find that the Transit fronts, rear, fuel tank, and sliding locks are the same for both generations. And the sliding door locks of LHD and RHD are also the same.
The only differences are their ignition barrel and bonnet lock. By the way, the ignition barrel is also fit for many other Ford cars such as Escort, Fiesta, Focus, etc.
And the Ford Transit Connect MK1 from 2002 to 2013 can also match the same door lock above. However, they don’t share the fuel tank lock and Bonnet lock. And the Bonnet lock is different between 2002-2006 and 2002-2013. You can refer to the following pictures:
What locks have we made for the Transit MK8 since 2014?
The main ones are the ignition barrel, bonnet lock, and front door lock. Usually, we don’t come with an immobilizer chip in the key.
We also have the ignition switch and fuel tank cover for the Ford Transit.
